SUBTITLE: Gas prices continue to increase
BASIC INFO:
As expected, gas prices will average between $2.70 and $2.80 a gallon for the 4th of July Weekend. People have been motivated to travel more with gas price stability and recent signs that the economy is slowly rebounding, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.

The Week
Gas prices stabilized somewhat this week ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, which was good news for the approximately 34.9 million American who plan to travel for the second three-day holiday weekend of the summer.
And despite the ongoing clean-up efforts in the Gulf of Mexico, the oil spill has not had any impact on gas prices in the short-term.
The national average price for regular grade gasoline was $2.75 a gallon Friday an increase of a penny on the week, 12 cents higher than year ago prices, but still $1.36 less than the record of $4.11 set in July 2008
