We know, we know... The Prius is everywhere! It was the "Beattles Hit" of the electric car industry years before most auto makers even considered making electrics... It should be NUMBER ONE... But... alas...

IT BURNS GAS MOST OF THE TIME!!!!!

The Prius came to existance because of the GM EV-1 (you know the cars people loved that GM thought would be better utilized to create lizard sancuaries in the Arizona desert) in 2001 Toyota feared the EV-1 would put them out of business so they spent billions developing the awesome Prius hybrid, and THEY SOLD!

Ironically, because of this Toyota shot up to #1 and all the U.S. car makers ended up begging for tax stimulus money to stay afloat... Imagine that, people actually DID WANT elecric cars... !!!
